The idea for Best of Spain Travel Planners came to me while spending time with my dear friend, Eli when I first arrived to Barcelona. She is a Barcelona native (and also one of our BOSTP Local Experts). In those early days of living here, Eli showed me all sorts of incredible restaurants, hiking spots, tiny shops, artisan workshops and other wonderful discoveries both in the city and throughout Catalunya. Most of the places she showed me were spots that I would have never found on my own and I know for sure wouldn’t be listed in any guide books or travel sites. That’s when I had the idea to share these and many more “travel treasures” l had discovered with others that yearn to discover authenticity when traveling – to share in local culture in a unique way, to visit smaller villages and towns and learn more about the “lesser known” areas, to experience the incredible lifestyle we have here in Spain by really “living like a local” while here on vacation and to return with a sense of really being immersed in a completely different way.
