Private Tour Overview

Experience the serene landscapes of Sierra de Huétor Natural Park on this guided hike along the scenic Cañada del Sereno trail. Spanning 11.5 km with a gentle 385 m total ascent, this 4–5 hour route is ideal for walkers of all levels who want to explore the park’s diverse terrain and uncover its fascinating history.

Departing from Plaza del Triunfo in Granada, we’ll transfer to the trailhead in the Sierra de Huétor Natural Park, where the path winds through fragrant pine woods, Mediterranean forest, and wild scrubland. Picturesque meadows with stone benches provide perfect spots to pause, take in the fresh mountain air, and enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding peaks.

For those with extra energy, the hike can be extended by 2 km to visit Spanish Civil War-era structures. The Sierra de Huétor played a significant role during the conflict, and scattered remnants mark the location of the former front line.

As we near the end of the route, we’ll stop at Fuente de la Teja, a natural spring at the source of the Darro River—an ideal place to refill your water before making our way back to Granada.
